Meribel is split into Meribel Mottaret and Meribel itself, it is at the heart of Les Trois Vallees the biggest ski are in the world with 600km of pistes. Meribel itself has many picturesque ski chalets constructed from local stone and timber; the village has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars giving a wide selection of apres ski and nightlife.

Ski & Snowboard Access: Skiing and snowboarding access varies significantly. With the large number of catered ski chalets in Meribel the majority cannot possibly be doorstep skiing; most of the better ski chalet operators offer free private minibus services to and from the slopes.
Once at a central point such as Chaudanne there really is something for everybody.

Meribel have been working hard on their lift system during the summer to make skiers transport around the valley smooth, fast and comfortable. Plush new cabins that now pass through newly renovated lift stations (Tougnete), re-shaped pistes (Faon) and additional snow cannons are just some of the modifications Meribel Alpina have been working on to improve your skiing experience in the valley.

For all freestyle skiers and snowboarders, Meribel's 'Moon Park' has also been moved to the former Grive piste and in doing so, it has been totally redesigned and reshaped to make the jumps bigger and better!

Accommodation Summary: Meribel probably has more ski chalets than any other ski resort in Europe never mind France. There are chalets that will fit the budget for any skiing holiday. The travel agency Snowhounds has a good selection of ski chalets in Meribel as well as apartments and hotels; Ski Beat offers a number of good quality catered chalets in Meribel at sensible prices.
For childcare in Meribel Les Farfadets offers a private nanny service, otherwise there some British holiday companies such as Ski Beat that have day crèches available in conjunction with their La Tania chalets.

Apres Ski: Meribel has a huge selection of shops, bars and clubs as well as many other apres ski activities.

Ski Schools: There are many ski schools based in Meribel, one of the best is Magic in Motion.

Hire Shops: Meribel has numerous ski and snowboarding hire shops. The most convenient would be the mobile services such as Ski Higher and Freeride. Both have websites that allow for pre-booking, make sure you mention this website and Ski Beat for a discount.
